In the Executive MBA Fundamentals course, students study statistical concepts, introductory accounting, team building, ethical frameworks, and other key business-related areas as they relate to 21st century business operations.

California State University Monterey Bay Organization and Leadership

In the Organization and Leadership course, students use theories and models of leadership, management, and organizational behavior to analyze organizational effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement. Students also identify and evaluate examples of functional/dysfunctional leadership, apply models and theories of team development, structure, and performance to lead a team to achieve its objectives, and more.

California State University Monterey Bay Accounting and Finance

In the Accounting and Finance course, students learn to read, understand, and utilize published accounting reports and corporate financial statements. Students also learn how to use cost information for decision making, analyze financial and nonfinancial performance measures to evaluate business strategies and unit success, prepare and examine financial statements for an investment, a corporation, and/or a proposed project, and more.

In the online Micro-Macro Economics course, students gain familiarity with microeconomic and macroeconomic concepts related to managerial decision making. Topics covered may include: consumer demand theory; price discrimination; perfect competition; risk aversion and risk sharing; moral hazard and incentives; reputation and credibility; transaction cost economics; and more.

In the online Innovation and Technology Leadership course, students analyze the importance of innovation in business success from three perspectives: product, process, and organizational. Students also learn how to use information-based systems to meet the needs and challenges of organizations, how Internet-related technology solutions can add value to organizational functions, and more.

In the online Marketing and Entrepreneurship course, students design and conduct a market analysis, integrating current research and practice, historical perspective, analytical tools, and theoretical frameworks. Students also learn how to make marketing-related decisions, systematically identify/analyze high-potential opportunities, and more.

In the online Global Business course, students gain an understanding of the current global economy and the various elements that underlie international and global commerce. Students also gain an understanding of the world economy's impact on local business, organizational sustainability issues as they impact organizations and the economy, and more.

In the online Business Strategy course, students analyze, study, and create business policy and strategies. Students also learn about organizational structure and strategy, the role and responsibilities of a general manager in various types of organizations, the effect of global and cultural diversity on the dynamics of today's firms, and more.
